We skip

In the evening we are awake.
In the morning we are asleep.

We watch but do not see.
We see but do not comprehend.
We comprehend but do not appreciate.
We appreciate... and then we forget.

We marvel the instant. For it is eternal!
And now... it's gone!

We enjoy nothing,
nothing except change.

We buy, and spend, and sell, and lend.
We consume items and stuff.
We consume people and us.

We are so many and yet so alone.
We smile, we cry, we laugh, we... skip.

skip

skip

We may read this, but no...

skip

skip

skip

and skip

Finally, the end is nigh for the time is sparse!
We do what we do, because we... skip
skip
and then it is. For we are who we are, but we
constantly dream of being something else.

When the autumn leaves are falling

When the autumn leaves are falling
and the sadness creeps in the night,
When the days are long and boring,
and passing without the smallest light.

When the people flow like rivers
and nobody stays behind,
when the moon is slowly dying
and the sky grows dark, unkind.

When sleep is a cure so sweet
but goes bitter with the time,
when your smile is there to quiver
painted on a mask sublime.

When streets are empty
yet crowded full.
when people laugh at you not all so gently,
and take you as a fool...

Remember this:

Autumn leaves are falling,
but the spring will come again.
Days are long and passing,
but the light comes only from within.

People flow like rivers,
but water is a precious gift.
The moon might die tonight,
only to be reborn and bright.

Sleep might get bitter,
but the power to wake is yours.
Smiles may sometimes quiver,
but smiles are also cures.

A crowded street is full of hopes,
full of dreams.
For crowds are not made of glass,
but hold the hopes and dreams all so vast.
